Specialty Services
Amerispec of Winnipeg & Southern Manitoba provides these additional specialty services in the local area(s) of Winnipeg.
New Home Inspections
Protect your investment; Have your new home inspected by AmeriSpec of Winnipeg & Southern Manitoba with either a Pre-Delivery or Pre-Purchase inspection. This type of inspection should be completed before moving into the home or within 11 months of moving into your newly built home. The findings should then be presented to the builder for the home’s warranty. This inspection will ensure work has been completed to the expected standard and will ensure any problems are recognized and resolved.
Energy Assessments
This inspection will determine the major areas of energy use and waste and make suggestions on what steps to take that could save you hundreds of dollars annually in utilities as well as doing your part in protecting the environment. Get more information on the ecoEnergy Retrofit Initiative.
Commercial Building Inspections
This includes inspections of apartment complexes, motels, office buildings, retail stores and warehouses. The inspection evaluates the major systems of the property and the visible structural components; it also catalogues the type and condition of HVAC equipment.
Pool & Spa Inspections
This review includes a visual examination of a spa/pool installation. We will inspect the pool equipment, electrical supply and pool line. The equipment is run, except for the pool heater if the pilot is not lit.
Water Analysis
This inspection, done mostly in rural areas, is a limited sampling of certain water systems and components using normal operating controls. The purpose of the Inspection is to provide you with information concerning the water quality of the home at the time of the inspection.
Indoor Air Quality Survey
As your home deteriorates, its condition can dramatically affect the quality of your indoor air. During an Indoor Air Quality Survey, we evaluate your home's condition and make recommendations on how to improve your indoor air quality.
Septic Testing
Done mostly in rural areas, the system is evaluated for evidence of above ground septic breakout. Without a test, clear failure of the septic system is the only evidence of problems as most components are underground.
WETT Inspections
Wood Energy Technology Transfer is a visual examination of wood burning appliances – fireplaces, wood burning stoves etc – and all its visible components. Our inspectors would verify proper installation and clearance to combustibles and its associated venting equipment.
