Our History

Our insurance business was started in Gahanna in 1973 by my dad, Wayne Slyman. Many of our customers have been with Nationwide since that time and some even before that. One of the biggest lessons I have learned after speaking with these agency loyalists, many of whom have shared countless stories of great service and friendship from my dad throughout the years, is that personal interaction with the agent does matter. In that regard, I will continue to offer insurance policy reviews to them annually (On Your Side Reviews). I have found that it helps mitigate their life's financial risks, builds trust and allows us to deepen our relationship with one another, a critical factor to the long term success of our business.
