Yanch Heating opened in 1965 and grew to be the preeminent heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) contractor in the Barrie area. Aside from furnace, air conditioning and water heater service and installation, Yanch Heating built an enviable reputation with geothermal systems and custom new homes. From our 18,000 square foot facility in Barrie Ontario, we service a wide area of Central Ontario and are by far the largest HVAC contractor in the region.

Our 3000 square foot showroom showcases much of our home comfort offerings including High Efficiency Furnaces and Air Conditioners.

Northern Comfort Mechanical was founded in 1998 and quickly became one of the most respected HVAC contractors in the Collingwood area. Northern Comfort specialized in residential furnaces and air conditioning as well as gas fireplaces and water heaters.

Reliance Home Comfort was established in October 1997 and has grown into one of the largest HVAC contractors in Canada with offices in 20 cities and 5 provinces. Reliance has over 160,000 Comfort Protection Plan customers and over 40,000 pieces of equipment on rental, ranging from water heaters to complete home comfort systems.

Reliance acquired Yanch Heating in 2011 and Northern Comfort Mechanical in 2010. These two locations service all Reliance Home Comfort clientele in the central Ontario Region.
