Andrew is based in Toronto and works with First Nation clients on a wide variety of issues. He completed his legal studies at McGill University in Montréal where he was an active member in the Aboriginal Law Association. Andrew went on to work with the Department of Justice for five years before opening his own practice and ultimately joining Arbutus Law Group LLP at its inception in 2013. Andrew’s practice focuses on specific claims, treaty negotiations and implementation, strategic advice on government initiatives, and consultation and accommodation issues. He also enjoys working on community-based initiatives including Land Codes and policy development. Andrew enjoys visiting his clients in their traditional territories and communities, and getting to know the members of the First Nations that he represents. When away from the office, Andrew enjoys time with Ruby/Max/Misha, skiing, and spending time at his family farm in Mansfield, Ontario. |
