Originally from Illinois, Dr. Maly grew up in Western Springs and attended the University of Illinois as an undergraduate before going on to Loyola University Dental School, where he graduated in 1991. He moved to South Haven in 1992 where he worked with Dr. Curtis Hood and took over his practice in 1993. Dr. Maly built a new Unthank Design Group Dental Office in 2003. http://www.unthank.com/ Dr. Maly loves dentistry and treating patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and the Chicago Dental Society.
  Dr. Maly has a daughter, Danielle, who attends Carnegie Mellon University studying Chemical Engineering. He enjoys spending as much time with her as he can by visiting with her during her breaks.
  He is an avid runner, biker and swimmer and he has been active in Triathlons and Iron Man competition over the years. He still participates in 5 & 10ks  around the area.  He bikes with a local club every week and participates in most all of the local bike runs throughout the summer and fall.  He is also very active in the winter, cross country skiing at every opportunity.
