In 1946, Lee D. McMahan started the McMahan Poultry Company. In the early 1950′s, he acquired a used oil truck to deliver fuel to his own poultry houses and soon started delivering fuel to neighboring poultry farmers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Since 1963, Tri-Gas & Oil has been serving customers in Maryland and Delaware with a full range of heating and heating appliance services. Our company is still owned and operated by the McMahan family.

In the beginning, Tri-Gas & Oil primarily offered propane gas delivery to commercial customers. As the business expanded, Tri-Gas & Oil began expanding its offerings to include custom oil blends, biodiesel, and a range of other cutting edge and environmentally friendly products. Today, Tri-Gas & Oil offers a full range of energy solutions to both residential and commercial customers in Maryland, Delaware and the Delmarva Peninsula.
