Mike focuses his practice on Real Estate Law, including sales and purchases; Probate; Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning; Corporations and Limited Liability Companies; Marriage Dissolutions; and Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation.  Mike teams up with Attorney William Fishman, a “Super Lawyer”, to handle Worker’s Compensation, Dramshop, and Personal Injury cases.

Mike has diverse interests and talents.  On occasion he plays guitar and handles lead vocals in the rock-n-roll bands Woodrow Wilson, The S.S. Rockers, and B. FishTone Taylor.  You may also find him playing acoustic guitar and singing rock-n-roll classics at local “establishments” (a/k/a Bjerke “Unplugged”).  Mike is an avid golfer, and he enjoys fast cars, jogging, weight training, cooking, the Vikings, and the Twins.

Mike graduated from Sandstone High School and received his bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University.  In 1993, Mike graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Mike lives in Hinckley, Minnesota with his wife, Cheryl, their son, Brock, “Axl” the beagle, and “Slash” the one-eyed black cat.
