To promote and provide comprehensive child care, education, resources and services to children and their families through trained staff and a quality environment.

Hours and Closure Information


Our Center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. In most cases, the Head Start program follows the 509-J school district closure procedures.

There will be no Head Start or bus service when public schools are closed due to poor weather conditions. Check the Prineville radio station KRCO 1242 AM or TV Station Z21-KZTV. The ChildCare Center remains open if at all possible.
Confidentiality

Confidential information may be defined as specific information, written or verbal, dealing with specific individuals, where there is a real or implied entrustment of secrecy. There is, of course, no absolute way to judge when there is an implied entrustment of secrecy. Confidential information will be placed in children’s, family’s or staff’s files and be kept locked, and out of general accessibility. Information in these files will only be released with the written consent of the individual, or the individual’s legal guardian. We cannot share any information without your written permission. However, our records may be subpoenaed by a legal court order. All staff/parents/volunteers will be responsible for seeing that confidentiality is ensured in the classroom, the offices and at meetings.
