Building a Dream

After a life time of involvement in many types of alternative livestock, and over 20 years of enjoying Koi as a hobby an opportunity presented itself to expand the scope of our love of Koi into a full fledged breeding operation and retail pond and water garden supply store. With the support of our dear friends the Behnkes, and our family, we opened LRF Koi Nursery & Water Gardens on August 19, 2006. We are continuing with a breeding program and brood stock carefully selected by a family that we have trusted for years as a source of knowledge, pond supplies and of course gorgeous Koi.

We have always strived to produce the best possible individuals no matter the species of livestock we are dealing with. We are ethical and responsible in our dealings and husbandry practices and stand behind our livestock and produce.

Our ultimate goal is to produce healthy Koi that will offer a range of type and quality to meet the needs and standards of all levels of Koi enthusiasts.

In September of 2011 we moved our family, 2 legged, four legged and finned to our present location in Seagrave Ontario. Our business is up and running and we have a lot of work ahead of us once again, but step by step we will rebuild what we had at our old farm and much more. It actually gives us a unique opportunity, a second chance to set up this facility with new ideas and a fresh perspective!

Our farm is also home to a lovely little herd of tiny Miniature horses. We specialize in little Appaloosas and have been raising them for close 30 years now. To check out our little Appaloosas go to www.lakeridgefarmminiatures.webs.com

Of course you cannot for get the PUGS! For many years we raised and showed our CKC registered Pugs. We love our little dogs, we have 5 retired show girls that due to their ages are no longer having puppies for us either. They are just the sweetest little furbabies living out their days with us and that is just fine by us and them!
