For over thirty years, Daflure Heating, Cooling and Solar has been one of Harrisburg’s most respected names in the HVAC, geothermal and solar industry. The company continues to make a name for themselves as dependable technicians with a customer first attitude. The company began in 1979, when David McClure saw an opportunity to provide a higher level of heating and cooling service and installation for the Harrisburg area. With years of mechanical engineering and practical experience under his belt, he and his wife Sheryl built The David F. McClure Company into the successful company that endures to this day.

While Mr. McClure grew the customer base and expanded the number of employees, the next generation was waiting in the wings to continue the tradition of dependability. “My dad was out turning wrenches, then he got the business to the point where he wasn’t working in the business, he was working on the business. That’s when I knew it was time to step up.” said Justin McClure, President and CEO said.

In 2005, Justin McClure took over the company, renaming it Daflure Heating and Cooling. That simple name change to Daflure Heating and Cooling created fresh opportunities for the company and its consumers. With the same employees, the same principles and the same

dependability, the company and their customers never missed a beat where service and dependability were concerned.

In late 2010, Daflure announced the merger and long-term acquisition of the O.L. Jacobs, a privately-help, family-owned commercial and industrial mechanical services provider. The acquisition meets the need for both companies to execute a strategy for growth and expansion. Both companies having similar cultural philosophies that stress client responsiveness and advocate innovative solutions to technical challenges, and in the end, it’s the customer who will benefit the most.

The company’s values have put them in an elite class as a Trane Comfort Specialist known nationwide. The company also takes pride in its community involvement and partnerships including: Cure International, World Missions through Christian Life Assembly, and two years participation in the ABC-27 Home Makeover Special.

Also recently, however not new to the business, are its “green” efforts. “We’ve always been an advocate of consumers investing in the highest efficiency heating and cooling systems,” Justin said. The company is now looking at its fleet of vehicles and building to promote a greener environment internally as well as for their customers.
