From the very beginning, The Brick has been committed to saving you more.

Our founder, Bill Comrie, understood the needs of an average family. He worked hard to find customers great products for their homes at affordable prices. His vision formed the foundation of our company – one we continue to build upon with pride.

From one store in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1971, The Brick has grown to become Canada’s largest home furniture retailer, selling high-quality household furniture, mattresses, appliances and home electronics at excellent prices.

A drive to save customers money, time and frustration is the engine that has pushed our company forward for more than 40 years. Together with a team of ambitious employees, The Brick built its foundation by implementing innovative purchasing, promotional and financing plans that worked together to give customers great products at low prices. We still use these techniques today.

By negotiating large, low-cost shipments of popular, quality furniture, we pass along both excellent products and savings to customers. Today’s popular flyers, and incredible events like our Tent Sale, have their roots in The Brick’s famous, ground-breaking promotions, like Midnight Madness.

The Brick was the first retailer to offer long-term product financing to the Canadian market, and we always challenge our team to improve delivery service and find new ways to make shopping at The Brick more convenient.

After expanding across Alberta, then Ontario, and eventually nation-wide, The Brick was publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in 2004.

In 2013, Canadian furniture retailer Leon’s Furniture Ltd. (TSX:LNF), purchased The Brick, making us part of one of Canada’s oldest companies. We’re proud to belong to such a respected family business.

For more than 40 years, The Brick has been finding new ways to pass our savings on to customers. Building on our history today and into the future, we’re dedicated to saving you more.
