Our History Gene’s, Inc. was started as Gene’s Auto Service in November 1945 by Gene and Bridie Immel. The company began as a Studebaker dealership and gas station, and the first location was at the corner of Second Avenue and Wickersham. Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz car lines were added in the early 1950’s. Studebaker ceased production in 1965, so the company purchased the local Chrysler Plymouth Dodge dealership in August 1966. The business then moved to 18th and Cushman. In 1988, the company added the Jeep Eagle franchise. In September 1999, the business once again moved to it’s now present location at 3400 S. Cushman St. Gene and Bridie Immel transferred the business to their four children during the late 1970s and 1980s. Gene’s, Inc., known in the community as Gene’s Chrysler, was owned and operated by James Immel and John Immel until July 1, 2004. The dealership was purchased by Lane Nichols, Sr. and Greg Wagner who shared the business until November 2015. Lane Nichols, Sr. is proud of Gene’s history and achievements and is now the sole owner of Gene's Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. Gene's Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is committed to providing the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. This true, whether it be with the selection and purchase of a new vehicle, convenient maintenance, or building satisfying lifelong customer relationships.
