Kim, originally from Sault Ste. Marie and Pat originally from Welland fell in love with the Stratford area and the Stone Maiden Inn and decided to make Stratford home.

We are thrilled to be here and part of the Stratford community and look forward to meeting new friends. We welcome anyone who wants to stop in to say hello. Our family hopes you will enjoy your visit to the Stone Maiden Inn as much as we will enjoy having you stay with us.

We do have a cat named Callie who is spoiled and contained to our owners quarters.  Callie can visit with guests upon request only.

The Stone Maiden Inn, a beautiful victorian heritage mansion (Circa 1873) is named after the stone maiden heads which grace our front hallway.  We offer quiet Victorian elegance with superior accommodation, and the utmost in personal service. All our 14 rooms are unique and some have canopy beds, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Our breakfasts are hot, homemade and complimentary -- all served with a smile.

Visit beautiful Stratford year round for various events throughout the city as well as our world renowned Shakespearean Festival. Our Inn is located close to the city centre, restaurants and theatres and is within walking distance to most attractions.

History  - The house was built in 1873 and until 1914 was inhabited by one of Stratford's earliest lawyers, when it became the Sanders Hotel. The Hotel Register, going back to 1932, is kept in the Parlour for your perusal.

The rather grand, very Victorian, front hall,  is reached via a well preserved "Stratford Porch" and sets the tone for the Stone Maiden Inn. Intricately crafted original plaster moldings adorn the high ceilings of the Front Hall, Dining Room and Parlour.  Finally, ascend the beautiful staircase to the guest quarters on the second and third floors.

Antique furnishings and appointments add to the late 19th century ambience.  Our elegant Guest Parlour offers a delightful haven for reading, board games, cards, chatting with other guests or simply savouring a quiet moment during your visit.   Two cozy outdoor patios are available for your enjoyment - a perfect spot for reading, conversation or for catching forty winks.

Our Inn is now licenced under the LCBO's "mini-bar" section.  We have a variety of beer, wine, champagne and spirits for purchase and your enjoyment.

The hot and delicious home made Breakfasts at the Stone Maiden Inn is an enjoyable event for all and include menus like stuffed french toast, eggs benedict, quiche, frittata, crepes and pancakes.  Our daily hot dish is served with fresh fruit and sausage/bacon.  Dietary restrictions can be accommodated if you advise us in advance.

Join us any time between 8:00 and 10:00 am (your choice of time) for our famous complimentary breakfast. If you need to depart early, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.
