Having been born and raised in Decorah, I have been through many of the changes in the local market. I graduated from Decorah High School and Luther College in the class of 2003. I was also a member of the Army Reserve's Bravo Company 389th Engineer Battalion located in Decorah for 12 years and served 1 tour of duty in Iraq. I started working with my father in the real estate industry at the age of 18, upon completion of my basic training with the Army. I have been a licensed real estate agent and licensed appraiser for over 16 years. I have purchased and sold many properties and personally understand what buyers and sellers go through in the process. I have gone through the joys and pains of remodeling, building spec homes, commercial renovations and subdivisions. I own several investment properties; commercial, residential and land. When it comes to experience, I have done many different things, and have personal first hand knowledge. My wife Natalie and I have three children; Kylie, Kelby & Heaton. I have served on the boards of many community organizations in the past and currently serve as an Ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce, Junior Vice President of the VFW Post 1977, and I am an at-large city councilman. I enjoy many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, golfing and "Jeeping" to name a few. |
