Who is Famous Fritz?

We emigrated from Europe with no money in our pockets, but with lots of ideas in our heads. Equipped with the knowledge of how to make finest European Sausages thanks to Tom’s Dad, a Master Sausage Maker and Butcher, we finally “landed” in the beautiful Creston Valley (Kootenays).

To run our own business in Canada was always our goal and we finally achieved it in 2005. Due to overwhelming support from our community, we were able to grow from the first day we opened our doors to the public. Our customers love our quality and the fact that nothing gets added to our products that isn't in the original family recipes - raw spices & meat. There are no fillers, no binders, no sugar or MSG added to our products and they are gluten free, which is hard to find these days. Our ham is pure ham, not overly processed and water-pumped. It’s made like a ham was made 50 years ago.

Our roasters maintain their size after you cook them because we don’t add anything to increase their weight. Our lean ground beef really is LEAN. You won't find an overwhelming amount of grease when you fry it. The same applies to our sausages & smokies. We ONLY add the finest ingredients (spices). That’s it. Sausage making is an ART and when you know what you’re doing, you get perfect results. Meat is Tom’s passion and you can be assured, he’s darn good at it.

We have lots of satisfied customers locally in Creston and from all over Canada and USA. We are even working on an online shop where you will be able to buy our meats and they will be shipped right to your door...coming soon!
