Ed Petras was born and raised in Pittburgh, Pennsylvania. From an early age Ed says he was “instilled with a strong work ethic, success drive, and the belief that life will provide you with what you are willing to work towards.” His academic career took Ed to Indiana University where he achieved a BA double major in Economics and History in 1993.
After graduating, Ed relocated to Indianapolis and started a career in homebuilding: 7 years in sales roles with various national and local builders provided Ed with a strong foundation and experience in different company cultures and sizes. In 2001, he was promoted to an Area Manager position for a national homebuilder. Eventually, Ed’s career took him to St. Louis in 2004, as a Director of Sales and Marketing, at the peak of the market managing over $235 million in annual sales at a Fortune 500 builder.
As the real estate landscape began to change with the downturn in the economy, and Ed’s family started to grow, he and his wife Kirsten evaluated their future and made the decision to return to Indiana to raise their two sons Nick (3) and Dane (1 1/2). Ed says “Our choice was based on the desire to surround our children with family and friends with similar values to our own and a strong sense of community.”
Embarking on the next phase of his career, Ed came to realize the importance of finding a company that had a strong culture and belief system that matched his own. In regards to his decision, Ed says “Keller Williams became my choice based on the opportunity to thrive in an environment that not only allows me to leverage my professional skill set, but also combines doing business in a way that matches my personal ethics and values. I look forward to many challenges, successes and positively impacting the Keller Williams team." |
