ALTERNATE GUARDIAN Senior In-Home & Residential Care offers a caring and compassionate nursing service. Owner Anne Boyd, R.P.N. and staff, specialize in providing personal in-home care for seniors, as well as providing support to their caregivers. Care Plans will be customized to meet the individual client’s needs. ALTERNATE GUARDIAN will care for your elderly loved one providing basic in-home to more monitored care like surgical recovery, extended illness or palliative care. Clients and their families can feel at ease knowing that a Registered Nurse/or Registered Nursing Assistant is on duty to care, assist or address their concerns. We also provide Private Duty Nursing for in-hospital, regional home and private residential facilities.
Medical and Personal Services: Health monitoring; liaising with pharmacies and assisting with medication management; administering of injections; diabetic care; grooming, hygiene and minor wound care; bowel/bladder programs; basic foot care (non-diabetic). Companion Visits: In-home and hospital friendly visits; occasions such as weddings, theatre, shopping or religious services. Additional Services: Caregiver and respite relief; accompanying client at medical appointments, (chart, follow-up); future needs planning; fall risk assessment; updating the Power of Personal Care (upon request); Personal support in emergencies (upon request); and guiding decisions about End-of-Life Care.
