Hello - we're Andy and Linda Stewart, owners of the Kilt & Castle.

After living in Smith Falls for twenty years, we realized the town needed an upscale gathering place.  We fell in love with the historic building and knew it was ideally suited for a neighbourhood pub.  Our love for Scotland and great tasting home cooked food supported the idea of opening a pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere where people would feel welcome.

Andy - My grandfather was born in Dundee and I have built a strong connection to my Scottish heritage over the years.  As a cabinet maker, I knew I could build a beautiful pub that would compliment the Scottish history of the 1895 Queen Anne style home.  After drinking in many pubs over the years and building pubs for a living, I felt it was time to own one! 

Linda - While vacationing in Scotland I fell in love with the flavours of Scotland: the history, the traditions, the people, the food.  Combining that with my passion for food and cooking led me to believe I should become a restauranteur.
