Eddie Parker, Lamar Calder and Thomas Woodward started PCW in1974 as an appliance service and repair business using a shed in Mr. Parker’s backyard as their office. Eddie Parker has since bought out Mr. Calder’s and Mr. Woodward’s share of the business and now he and his wife own and operate PCW. Mr. Parker’s wife, Bonnie, initially worked a separate job to help keep a continuous flow of income coming in while Mr. Parker worked day and night building his business and reputation. In 1975 he moved PCW to West Broadway St in Myrtle Beach and became a licensed service provider of several brands. In 1976 Mr. Parker expanded PCW to include sales. PCW’s first line of appliances was Frigidaire. Continued success with his service and the new success of selling the Frigidaire line required a larger and more prominent location. In 1978 PCW moved to its current location on HWY 501 in Myrtle Beach. In the same year PCW acquired the Whirlpool brand. Throughout the mid and late 80's other brands such as Maytag, Thermador, Sub Zero and Bosch were added. PCW now carries a full line of appliances to suit any customers’ needs. |
