ROSE HEART INN
Featuring a spacious front porch, three-story turret, and multiple gables, the Rose Heart Inn Bed and Breakfast is noted for its classic Queen Anne Victorian architecture. Each room is lovingly furnished with period antiques and late 19th century decor. Elegant art glass panels and hardwood parquet floors grace the oversize two-story foyer. Built in 1898, the house retains much of its original charm, including leaded glass windows and doors. The wrap-around porch offers cozy white-wicker chairs and an inviting wooden swing, the perfect place to enjoy a good book or relax with one’s sweetheart.
While staying at the Rose Heart Inn guests will find a comfortable, accommodating, and pleasant atmosphere. In 2004, the Inn was extensively remodeled with a state-of-the-art kitchen and five guest rooms each with a private Jacuzzi bath, adding modern luxuries for the discerning traveler. “The Inn is a mix of romantic charm and high tech wizardry…” as quoted in the Marion Star on March 14, 2005. After a quiet and restful night’s sleep, guests are treated to a gourmet breakfast served with fresh herbs and produce sourced from regional farms.
Take a leisurely stroll to Main Street in Mount Gilead and visit the local coffee shop, bakery, restaurants, ice cream parlor, gift and antique shops. You can catch a first-run feature film at the vintage movie theater at half the cost of going to the city. The public library, genealogy annex and the modified Greek-Revival-architecture county courthouse are all within a block of the Inn.
Located among gently rolling hills of north-central Ohio, Rose Heart Inn is just 7 miles from I-71 and convenient to Mid-Ohio Racetrack, Mt. Gilead State Park, Malabar Farm, Pine Lakes Golf Club, and Snow Trails Ski Resort. Delaware, Marion, Mansfield, and Columbus are all within a 30-40 minute drive.
