Services

Our firm provides individuals and small businesses with a full range of personal and business services.

In the area of real estate we have provided abstract examinations and title opinions, drafting or review of purchase agreements prior to signing,  preparation of contracts for deed, deeds, mortgages, affidavits and the like, preparation or review of leases, suits to regain property from hold-over tenants,  suits to clear title or resolve boundary issues, preparation of restrictive covenants for real estate developments, formation and operation of common interest communities under the Minnesota laws, and related services.

We have provided legal guidance to small and medium sized business entities in a variety of contexts from formation of the entity, including corporations, limited liability companies, family limited partnerships and the like,  to franchise agreements, commercial contracts, real estate acquisitions for business expansion, collection of accounts receivable, employment policies and compliance issues. We also can guide financially distressed businesses through the bankruptcy process in either chapter 7 liquidation or a reorganization under chapter 11.

Individual clients turn to us for guidance on real estate matters, preparation of estate plans, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care declarations, family limited partnerships and sophistocated disability and medical assistance planning for people faced with extended care issues.  When they are in financial distress we are able to guid them through debtor-creditor law by reaching a composition agreement with creditors or filing bankruptcy in either chapter 7 or 13, as is most appropriate for the client's particular needs.  When they have suffered the loss of a loved one we can assist with the severance of joint tenancys and the probate process when necessary.  We also provide guidance and legal assistance for guardians, conservators and executors in the performance of their fiduciary duties.

Most of the needs of clients are met by our experienced legal services team,  but when a specialized service is required,  we can bring in other lawyers who provide unique and specialized services to make sure the client's legal needs are met.
